CCCF Board Member and Founder, Tina Dowd was recently presented with a 2022 Community Hero Award at a dinner hosted on June 15, 2022 by Mauch Chunk Trust Company. She was honored for her service and dedication to the region.

Tina Dowd, Founder and Board Member for the Carbon County Community Foundation, was recently named a 2022 Community Hero by Mauch Chunk Trust Company. She and three other community members were presented with the awards at the annual Community Heroes dinner on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
The MCT Community Hero program honors four individuals each year who have displayed outstanding service to their community, as selected by a volunteer committee. The honorees are invited to an annual Community Hero dinner where they are presented with their awards in front of a crowd of previous honorees, MCT staff and board, and family and friends. In addition, a donation is made to a nonprofit organization of the honoree’s choice.
During her remarks, Tina spoke about the Community Foundation and thanked her fellow Founders who “said yes to an idea” leading the Foundation to the organization it is today.
The Carbon County Community Foundation staff and board send congratulations and best wishes to Tina and her fellow 2022 Community Hero honorees.
