The seventh annual NEPA Gives took place on June 4 and 5, 2026, and once again demonstrated the incredible generosity of communities across Northeastern Pennsylvania. In just 24 hours, 7,833 donors contributed $1,610,027 to support 316 nonprofit organizations and charitable causes throughout the region.
The Carbon County Community Foundation was proud to serve as a co-host of the region’s largest day of giving in partnership with the Scranton Area Community Foundation, Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers, The Luzerne Foundation, Wayne County Community Foundation, Greater Pike Community Foundation, Community Foundation of Monroe County, Schuylkill Area Community Foundation, and other community sponsors. Marketing support for the event was provided by Posture Interactive.
NEPA Gives brings together donors and nonprofits across 13 counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania — from Bradford and Tioga in the north to Schuylkill and Carbon in the south, and from Sullivan and Wyoming east through Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wayne. The event raises awareness of the vital work nonprofit organizations perform every day while helping them secure much-needed funding to advance their missions.
“NEPA Gives continues to show what is possible when communities come together around a shared commitment to making our region stronger,” said Sharon Alexander, President of the Carbon County Community Foundation. “More than 7,800 donors stepped up to support 316 organizations this year, raising over $1.6 million in just 24 hours. Every gift, no matter the size, represents someone choosing to invest in their community, and that collective generosity is creating a lasting impact across Northeastern Pennsylvania.”
Hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes and matching incentives were awarded to participating nonprofits for notable achievements, thanks to the generosity of businesses, foundations, and individual donors throughout the region. The Stretch Pool also returned this year, providing matching funds to organizations based on the number of unique donors they received during the event.
Since its launch in 2020, NEPA Gives has raised more than $8 million for nonprofit organizations serving communities throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.
