Manuel & Nancy L. DaCosta Education Scholarship Fund
Established by Manuel DaCosta to provide financial assistance for higher education to students graduating from Lehighton Area School District.
The Manuel & Nancy L. DaCosta Education Scholarship shall be a one-year, non-renewable scholarship of at least $1,000 awarded annually to a qualified graduating high school senior (or home-schooled student who has a state-recognized graduation certificate/diploma) residing in Lehighton, PA, who is seeking to further his or her education at a 4 or 2-year college or technical school with plans to study nursing or a related medical field, the arts, or a trade career.
Minimum qualifications for the scholarship include:Â
- Intent to pursue education related to one of the following areas: nursing or a related medical field, the arts, or a trade career
- Demonstrated financial need. A copy of the expected family contribution page of the FAFSA report must be submitted with the application. The Foundation reserves the right to request the full FAFSA at its discretion.
