The Carbon County Community Foundation invites the public to submit nominations for its Community Awards, which will be presented during the Foundation’s 10-year anniversary celebration later this year.
The Community Awards honor individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations whose leadership, service, and commitment have made a meaningful impact across Carbon County. Community members are encouraged to nominate those who are making a difference today — whether through philanthropy, volunteerism, or innovative nonprofit work.
“We know Carbon County is full of people and organizations quietly doing incredible work,” said Sharon Alexander, President of the Carbon County Community Foundation. “These awards are an opportunity for the community to help us shine a light on those efforts and celebrate the impact happening all around us.”
The 2025 Community Awards include:
- Community Advocate Award
Honors an individual whose passion, dedication, and service have made a lasting difference in Carbon County. Preference will be given to nominees who have partnered with or supported the Foundation in advancing its mission. - Corporate Business Leadership Award
Recognizes a business that demonstrates outstanding corporate citizenship through philanthropy, volunteerism, and leadership that strengthens local nonprofits, schools, and civic life. - Nonprofit Excellence Award
Celebrates a nonprofit organization showing exceptional leadership, innovation, and measurable results in addressing community needs.
The nomination process is simple and open to the public. Nominations require a brief letter of recommendation describing why the nominee deserves recognition. Nominations must be submitted by January 21.
Award recipients will be honored at the Carbon County Community Foundation’s 10th Anniversary Celebration, taking place Friday, May 29th, at Blue Mountain Resort. The evening will commemorate a decade of community impact and will include dinner, a DJ, dancing, and a silent auction. Since its founding, the Carbon County Community Foundation has awarded nearly $2 million in grants and scholarships, supporting local nonprofits, students, and community initiatives throughout the county.
Tickets for the anniversary celebration will be available later this spring. Sponsorship opportunities are open now for businesses and partners interested in supporting the event and the Foundation’s mission.
