Joseph Bennett, Founder and Board Member for the Carbon County Community Foundation, was honored by the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation.  Bennett, along with his company, Bennett Family Properties, was presented with the Economic Development Project of the Year Award at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner and Awards Gala on Friday, November 12, 2021.

The Economic Development Project of the Year award honors an outstanding project designed to bring jobs and economic growth to Carbon County.  Bennett Family Properties was recognized this year because of the work it has been doing with St. Luke’s University Health Network and various properties located throughout Carbon County.

“Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with many exceptional people but tonight I would like particularly to thank my team, the folks who have made it possible for me to succeed,” said Joe during his comments after receiving the award on Friday.  “I also have been quite fortunate to align myself with folks who want to give back to this community such as the Carbon County Community Foundation. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all Carbon County residents.  Our community organizations are only as vital as we help them to be.  This work, sometimes moving along at a snail’s pace but the job is not done alone; we do it in partnership and I could not have asked for better partners.”

Another award recipient on Friday was CTC Manufacturing, a nonprofit organization in Beaver Meadows that provides job training and opportunities to individuals with disabilities.  CTC Manufacturing, which received the Business of the Year Award, was also last year’s recipient of the annual grant from the 20/20 Circle at the Carbon County Community Foundation.

The Carbon County Community Foundation staff and board send congratulations and best wishes to Joe and his team, CTC Manufacturing, and all of the 2021 honorees.
