Friends Helping Neighbors Food Pantry Fund
The Friends Helping Neighbors Food Pantry Fund has been established to support the efforts of the Friends Helping Neighbors, an organization that operates a weekly food pantry to serve residents of the Lehighton Area School District service area in Carbon County, PA.
Friends Helping Neighbors manages a weekly distribution of food and other groceries every Monday from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Mahoning Farmers Market in Lehighton. The organization serves an average of 140 families every week.
Friends Helping Neighbors has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley & Northeast PA to establish a weekly distribution of food and other groceries for the community. Distributions from this Fund shall support programs and operating costs of Friends Helping Neighbors, including that weekly food distribution.
The Friends Helping Neighbors organization does not currently have its own 501c3 designation. The Carbon County Community Foundation is a fiscal sponsor for Friends Helping Neighbors through this fund.
